Ever Wonder Why

Ever wonder what life really is
Wonder why we live the way we do
Why we go through things we don't think we should
Well I wonder too

Why are some people sad and suicidal
Cut their wrists to forget their pain
Why are some friends so mean and uncaring
To those whom they feel have nothing to gain

Why are some parents so harsh and heartless
Only want the best and not allow to rest
Why are some siblings so determine to win
Always wanting more and nothing less

Why are girls getting pregnant
And cry when they can't find the dad
Why are boys getting HIV
And sob when they realise they'll soon be dead

Why do some find life a bore and sucks
When it's filled with challenges and wows
Why do some search high and low for love
When it's there by their side all this while

I wonder all of these and even more
And realise life is how we decide to live
I ask what's life and want to know more
And conclude life is what we choose to believe
